Why can't I change my nickname?? please help

I need to change it to get some personal advice.

My nickname area is greyed out so it can't be edited when I go to Mymumsnet :(

If you're completely stuck how about trying a new email address?

Or if you have a gmail account you might be able to use yourUsualAddress@ googlemail .com and yourUsualAddress@ gmail .com on the same email account (I know I can).

It's nice to see you around though :) I was worried about you when you posted about being stuck with not enough food or access to your medicine (I posted on your thread under a different name from this one).

I hadn't come across you since, until today (mumsnet is a big place!) so it's good to see you're OK (I hope?!)

If you do name change from himynameisfred, will you promise to pop back as himynameisfred on day, to let us all know when you've moved and are happily settled somewhere else, it'd be nice to know you're OK :)

Yes I remember you. I was worried for you. At least when I split up with my arsehole ex I was in a big city with easy access to everything. If I'd had to rely on him for the basics I would have been screwed!

Yes I reckon you should definitely update your old thread. I'm sure lots of other people remember you too, and it's always nice to know things worked out well in the end
