Can we please have the option of ditching them? This would free them up for others, and protect us from being stalked (should someone get access to an account and therefore username history).

Can't we just delete them, or something?

Old posts would have to be deleted also, it would be a nightmare for MNHQ.

But old posts wouldn't have to be deleted. I just want to be able to dissociate myself from old names - don't care if the posts still exist, as long as they can't be linked to me should someone gain access to my account.

What do you mean "gain access to your account?"

LadySybilDeChocolate · 16/02/2012 18:55

What if someone does a search for your posts and they find ones which they think are yours, but are actually written by someone else with the same username??

MBOTy · 16/02/2012 18:56

I just want the use of names that have never posted TyTyTy

peple could take old but well known unused names and pretend.

Yes, see what you mean, Lady - just occurred to me after I wrote my reply.

Olivia - I mean if someone is able to log in as me, and search my username history.
