I just got zombie threaded!

It's bloody ridiculous.

You don't always remember to check the blasted date on a damn thread. If a thread is in active convos, it is natural to assume it's not FOURTEEN BLOODY YEARS OLD!

Can't you lock threads after a certain period of non posting? I mean, if a thread's been dead for 3 years - do you think people want to start up on it again?

Or at least attempting to post should trigger a "ZOMBIE THREAD" alert.

Yes. It also makes us realise how much time we spend here, how much head room we give to old Aibu threads and how many years we've been reading this shite when you realise that not only is it years old, but you remember it, can say the ending and hazard a guess at the OP's subsequent name change.
Lock them, for all our sakes.

Its when you reply to a zombie thread and later realise you are already on same thread, 6 years earlier that you get the face. From yourself to yourself. For spending waaay to much time here.
