Go to Customise and scroll down to select Hide Viewport bar.

Yes, you can hide it in customise. I had it for about 3 minutes months ago and have never seen it since.

I use it, I find it handy but for some reason mine sometimes has Active and I'm On side by side and other times it's one on top of the other.

I prefer it when they are side by side, looks neater...

I've actually got used to it and use it to go to Active or Threads I'm On quite regularly.

I like it lots. I only ever use the Active TIO or Watching though. I've never clicked on the rest.

I like it. Took me a while to get used to, but I find it much easier to navigate MN with it there.
