Hide Button in Threads I'm On?

I've thought this would save quite a lot of click through time for a while now, but I also reckon it would reduce petty arguments: when you've contributed to a thread which has 'turned', or has whittled down to the diehards disparaging each other, rather than open it and being tempted to chip in once more and fan the flames, you could just zap it straight from your TIA page. What do you think?

Yes- I've been asking for a tick box for ages. With all the success of a colander catching farts.

I would have no threads left though. My active hardly moved on Sunday I'd hidden 99% of the board

Is it possible to hide threads without actually clicking on them first? It'd be great for sorting through things I have no interest in.
