how do you hide topics?

I cant handle seeing some things right now and I'd rather hide specific topics, how do you do this?

You need to go into Customise (up there ^ in blue, underneath Mumsnet Talk) and scroll right down to Ignore Topics in Active Conversations. Click on the 'here' link and you'll be taken to a new page where you can select the topics you'd like to exclude.
