At least give us a warning...or better still a small miniclip game of Pombear juggling or FruitShoot skittles so we don't have to go and interact with real life whilst we desperately try to reconnect

I find it happens quite often at peak times. I don't think the site has been deliberately taken off-line.

It's done it to me about 8 times this morning. Always when I click on Preview Message, Post Message or just click on a thread title to open it. Has this happened to anyone else, or is something weirdy going on with my computer?

Seeline · 13/01/2012 09:39

Happening to me too nearly everytime I click on anything - just refresh the page and it comes back to life - weird

BertieBotts · 13/01/2012 09:49

Mine keeps doing this too. Saying it's offline and then I refresh and it's fine.

I've tried clearing my cache but it doesn't seem to have helped (maybe I need to clear it from a longer period?)

Happened to me just now when I went to open this thread!

HelenMumsnet · 13/01/2012 09:56

Hello. And yes, we seem to be flipping offline for a few seconds at random intervals this morning. We're on it. But in the meantime, do keep refreshing - you should get us back pretty quickly.

OffDownTheGardenToEatWorms · 13/01/2012 09:58

just sat down for tea and toast with Jeremy Kyle the news on in the background and you were all gone Shock

So glad you're back

SarahStratton · 13/01/2012 10:25

Helen, is Tech meddling again? Could he do his meddling in the middle of the night, whilst most of us are offline ourselves? :(

Ok, Tech thinks we should all be back to normal now.

Thanks for your patience

Ironically, that was the message I got when I clicked on this very thread at about 9.30 this morning.

I read the message as "go and do the hoovering, you lazy-arse, and stop titting about on MN, or the day will be gone."
