Chat threads moving into AIBU

AbsofCroissant · 04/01/2012 16:19

There's two threads I was on which have been moved from chat into AIBU. Doesn't this normally go the other way around, or is someone in MNHQ being norty? (intern?)

Hello

This sounds odd. Can you tell us which threads they were?

baubleybobbityhat · 04/01/2012 18:53

ooo-er

Abs you squealer Wink

AbsofCroissant · 05/01/2012 11:14

Right, I'm back. There was the one which is "if you earn £100k" and one which was something along the lines of "sentences for murdering scum" about the sentences given out for the Lawrence murder. Normally I'd expect those kind of threads to move the other way to prevent bun fights, particularly the one with the word "scum" in the title.

What? How bizarre...

IslaDoit · 05/01/2012 12:24

Ah, you see I wouldn't want to read either of those threads. They look nasty/trollish just from the titles. I suspect what has happened is MNHQ have moved them to AIBU (which I have hidden) to save me the bother of hiding them.

That is the only logical explanation Wink

baubleybobbityhat · 05/01/2012 13:42

The 100k one has been moved to Employment Issues.

IslaDoit · 05/01/2012 13:47

well that blows that theory bibbity. I like Employment Issues.

Trills · 05/01/2012 13:49

Well at least that's tidy - it was about jobs not about unreasonableness.

KatMumsnet · 05/01/2012 15:23

The £100k thread is here, which we moved to Employment Issues today. OP said in her first post that she started it in AIBU.

Had a bit of a dig around to find the other thread, did you mean this one? We think this was started in AIBU, rather than being moved there, as we would have posted to say it's been moved.

Hope this clears things up! :)

Trills · 05/01/2012 15:30

So... Abs is just delusional and imagining that things are in Chat when really they were in AIBU the whole time?

RebeccaMumsnet · 05/01/2012 16:17

Shock Not at all Trills.
Abs, are they the threads you mean?

AbsofCroissant · 05/01/2012 16:42

Okay, so not so sure about the first one, but I swear the second one was started in chat rather than in AIBU as I was a bit Hmm when I saw it there as it's a pretty raucus title (it could be the brain's not firing on all cylinders).

she's drunk

again

AbsofCroissant · 05/01/2012 17:50

I wish

could be the hallucinating - I may have been hallucinating turtles recently. OR I have ridiculously good eyesight.

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/01/2012 17:53

Abs, sweetums.

Come and sit down and talk to AuntyChaos.

I have a turtle-free living room.

You can tell me all about it.

AbsofCroissant · 05/01/2012 18:07

Oh, should have put in some context Grin

I was on a boat trip thingy, going along the Caribbean coast of Tobago (as one does) and I saw a turtle and was all "DP! A turtle!" and everyone looked and it'd gone. Same thing happened a bit later. So, either, I was hallucinating turtles or everyone else on the trip was well slow.

OP posts:
Pinot · 05/01/2012 18:13

Have you been to jeffing Tobago? Envy

ChaosTrulyReigns · 05/01/2012 18:13

Dreaming? Or actually?

AbsofCroissant · 06/01/2012 07:15

Actually went to Tobago. You know how I wasn't around for a few weeks (or not)? That's where I was.

OP posts:
Trills · 06/01/2012 08:56

I think I would like to say "Dreaming? Or actually?" in response to more things that people tell me :o

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/01/2012 10:34

I had noticed you were not really around for Christmas. [observant] Did you have a asking time? And now you are back all bewildered refreshed.

Smile

Trills, yes, it could be used as an alternative for "That is literally unbelievable". Wink

ChaosTrulyReigns · 06/01/2012 10:35

asking = smashing

Sigh.
