Independent Education

Please could we consider a forum dedicated to Independent Education.

A lot of issues are specific to independent schools (such as paying fees, boarding, Common Entrance, and many other things). These threads tend to get hijacked rather easily, with the same predictable results. While these are still possible in its own forum, I think they will happen less often.

What do other independent school parents and teachers think?

I think theres enough topics already

I don't like the idea of separating independent and state education into 2 separate topics. Most issues raised would relate to both types of school and seems unnecessary to have separate topic just to discuss entrance exams etc.

I quite like the idea. I don't agree all the issues are similar - I can think of one obvious difference to start with - fees. Then there's things linked to it such as fees insurance. Then what's included in the fees. Class sizes. Etc. Etc.
