Every time I want to do a name change or change anything on my registration/profile, I have to enter my email address and password TWICE. This has happened for ages. First try it just doesn't work- boxes revert to blank. what's wrong?

and after making changes to the registration page, I then find I have to log-in again- surely I should already be logged in, having made changes/added to my profile etc. But when I go to TALK it asks me to Log in. WHARRRRRRRRRGH!

Hi ameliagrey

Sorry about that, what browser are you using?
Do you check the little 'remember me' tab?

anyone else having ishoos with this?

ameliagrey · 02/12/2011 17:54

I'm using Firefox and have been for ages.

It makes no difference if i tick the remember me box or not, because that would only work while I was logged on that day.

Also- why, after a name change and saving it, do I still have to Log In separately before i can post?

Hmm. I am not sure but will see what I can find out.

Same thing happens to me and I use Explorer version 9 and Chrome.

The first entry of name/e-mail + password is just ignored and both boxes go blank after hitting return. The 2nd time it always gives access.

Hi, this should be fixed now - you should only have to enter your email address and password once to get to the registration details page. We are hoping to fix the other issue - that it's sometimes necessary to log in again after that to post - in the next few weeks. Sorry for the hassle.
