and as a consquence can't ask for an email reminder.

Do I have to sign up again with my new address and is there anyway I can keep my username if I do that?

I've done every variation of the couple of addresses that I think I was using around the time I joined, but can't remember them exactly..am old and brain is too stuffed full of useless info, like my phone number when I lived in Bangkok a decade and half+ ago.

Still, worth a try. I don't want to lose my nickname, but if I get logged out at some point I'll be buggered trying to get back in.

And presumably you couldn't be anybody else posting as 'fastweb', because someone else couldn't have joined MN as 'fastweb', as you've already got that NN.

OR

I can put a special word in tje email, THEN post that word here, and the time stamp on the email and the post should show I used it in the email first. And I wouldn't have know the word unless I was a mind reader.

Ok I got an password reminder, and it is the one I had been putting in.

I think my failure to log in sucessfully to my profile may be an iPad issue, not my poor old brain issue.

Oh well.

Maybe mumsnet will bring out an iPad app. And end my pain.
