Have sent an email, but am checking to see if I can start a new thread. All my posting on active threads get me:

Oops! We encountered an error
Please try again. If the error persists, please drop a note to [email protected] and let us know what you were doing when it happened.

Did this work...

testing, testing

Don't make me drag Tech away from his Gameboy for nothing, now...

RowanMumsnet · 27/11/2011 15:09

Hmm

dreamworldfullofUNICORNS · 27/11/2011 15:12

i had that problem as well. had to leave the thread i was trying to post on, go back and try again, and it worked...

ilovedelia · 27/11/2011 15:13

The same thing happened about 20 mins ago.

Also, when I click on the main convo page and click on the topic I want to read, it always jumps up by 1mm so you have to pin it down double click. It is driving me nuts.

RowanMumsnet · 27/11/2011 15:15

I can report that Something Seems to be Happening. That's technical language folks, don't worry if you can't keep up.

I've stared helplessly in Tech's direction and someone is taking a look.

If anyone wants to mail us on [email protected] with your OS system details, browser details and any screenshots of what you're getting that would be good.

Thanks

Ooh I get that too ilovedelia (with the thread links jumping by 1mm when you click). It's annoying isn't it?

ilovedelia · 27/11/2011 15:22

Oh thank goodness you get it too, RowanMumsnet. I though I was imagining it
as nobody else has ever mentioned it.

Tee2072 · 27/11/2011 15:55

Sorry, was talking to my mom in the US.

Let's see if this posts...

Okay, maybe fixed, let me check another thread...

Tee2072 · 27/11/2011 15:57

Seems fine now! Whew!

I have a problem with the message "Oops. We encountered an error." It is like eating popcorn at the same time as lobster bisque. "Oops" is very jolly and informal, and "we encountered an error" is formal and dull. They don't go well together.

Still, its better than Twitter's "momentary hiccup," which always makes me wonder what a prolonged hiccup would feel like.

How about 'Cripes!' in 48-pt Comic Sans with a sad face?
