Deleting a thread

MNHQ - yesterday one of the most vile threads I have ever seen was started and despite a request from the OP and others for it to be deleted it has been left to stand. The poor woman was subjected to the most awful bullying I have ever seen anywhere on the Internet and yet the thread still stands. It was reported during working hours so I'm puzzled as to why it is still there. One poster has even come back today to have another go at the poor OP. The thread is causing the OP great distress and is just awful.
I reported a post by 'pink4ever' too and yet that still stands.
I understand that it is Saturday and there probably isn't anyone on duty at the moment but there was when it was originally reported. Why has this thread been left to stand so long when others have been removed so quickly?
Thanks in advance
(the thread is in 'Chat', about living in cramped, overcrowded flat)

Hi - we've been responding to reports on the thread in question and have deleted the personal attacks we saw. Last time we looked the OP was getting some great support and useful advice so we took a decision to let it stand. If we've missed any posts you think break our site guidelines, do please report them again and we'll look into it.

Thanks Catherine! Sorry to be so snippy in original post, saw that a poster was back having a go just before I wrote this and got upset. Thanks for taking care of it, the tone of the thread seems to have changed today (thank goodness!)
