what does it mean when you click to a page and instead of text you get blankness and a white box in the top left corner with a red cross thru it?

and, in the most simple language possible, what do you do about it.

Means a photo should be on the page but it's not there for whatever reason (sometimes you can right-click and click on "show picture" but it doesn't often work!).

that's usually a picture that hasn't loaded

theres a chat room i used to visit and it wont load and has the same white box with red cross.

it generally means that you don't have whichever program you need to run the chat room. have you ben on it on your pc before? I'd email the admin people of that site and ask what they use to run the chat room then i'd install it on your pc
