Confused about "Other Subjects"

Is this a new topic?
Threads seem to be getting moved there - like the Grandparents one.
Is it the new undeletable chat?

But if people put things in chat so they get deleted eventually and then threads get moved to "other subjects", then things they thought would be deleted will be permanent.

Just saying...

It's been there forever. I use it sometimes for things that have no other place. Like 'there's a frog trapped in my exhaust pipe, any advice?' I'd struggle to locate that elsewhere.

So why are things moving there then SoH.

Did you get the frog out eventually?

Hi MardyBra

What SoH said and yes we are aware, if it is a sensitive thread we mail the OP and ask if it is ok before we move it.

If a thread is very popular but not necessarily right for classics and doesn't really fit in anywhere else, then Other Subjects tends to be where it ends up.

Thanks for the response Rebecca.

In that case, can my favourite anagram thread go over to Other Subjects as I'd hate to lose it seeing as it never made classics, not that I'm sulking or anything, but I suspect it was because we made rude anagrams out of MNHQ user names Wink

Yay! My first classic.

Thanks Rebecca!

It was a hypothetical frog in an imaginary exhaust pipe in order to illustrate the best use of Other Subjects.

Congratulations on your precious first classic Mardy.
