Proposed site changes survey: THE RESULTS

Like all the best result shows there is a pointless 2 and a half hour build up. Here's the link to the original thread and survey which is closing at 11am.

The closest result has just 24 votes between the top two answers so it really is still wide open.

Please feel free to use all the usual stock phrases and I'll be back just after 11am to weep tears of joy and proclaim us all winners, before announcing the real winner who gets a bottle of genuine Moldovan Piss-a Grigio.

Is it too early to declare it a fix and demand a recount?

KatieMortician · 14/10/2011 11:08

Q1. The Like button.

If you are for the like button: Congratulations! Most people thought it was a good idea with 34% of the vote.

If you were against the like button: Congratulations! 44.6% of you thought it was a bad idea or did not like change.

ummmmmm?

KatieMortician · 14/10/2011 11:10

Q2. The hide poster option.

38.5% thought it was a good idea. That is more than thought the like button was a good idea.

37.4% thought it a bad idea or were against change.

KurriKurri · 14/10/2011 11:10

hooray (I think Confused)

MyMelody · 14/10/2011 11:11

so we're not changin' then?

KatieMortician · 14/10/2011 11:11

Q.3 Being able to vote YABU/YANBU on AIBU threads

An massive 57.0% thought a trial was a good idea.

This was the clearest result overall of any of the survey questions.

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 14/10/2011 11:11

22% were hoiking or not giving a toss surely?

CotherMuckingFuntingZombie · 14/10/2011 11:12

I'm all Confused

Pagwatch · 14/10/2011 11:12

We need a big swingometer..

ZombiesAteYourCervix · 14/10/2011 11:12

in what world is 44% less than 34%?

MyMelody · 14/10/2011 11:12

what is hide poster option anyway, i think i said i didn't want it but not sure what you mean, why would we want to hide a poster?

Byeckersliiiiiiiiiiiiiike · 14/10/2011 11:12

Dermot would kick one of his legs about wildly whilst calling everyone mate...

AitchTwoOh · 14/10/2011 11:12

isn't this just demonstrating that the 'don't like change' button was not a good idea? you can't just count it as a no. this is not a proper survey...

CertainlyToomsRemains · 14/10/2011 11:13

Mumsnetters tied themselves to absolutely nothing to earn the right to vote and 20ish% of you friffed that up for the purists, didn't you?

[grr]

Pagwatch · 14/10/2011 11:13

Oooh voting on aibu was popular.

I think it is a good idea. Better than like.
Aibu is the only deliberately judgy section.

KatieMortician · 14/10/2011 11:14

Q4. Adding a "My topics" feature to the main site like what they have on the iPhone app

41.7% thought it was a good idea.

27.5% do not know what an iPhone is.

MmeLindor. · 14/10/2011 11:14

MyMelody didn't understand the question.

I would say that this shows that the survey results are not to be trusted.

MNHQ should pay for you to come to Geneva, Katie, so that the UN can observe.

ZombiesAteYourCervix · 14/10/2011 11:14

bugger. must go to work.i'm going to miss the final graphy pie charts and stuff. and i like pie.
