Can I be daring and suggest merging the Food topic with the Recipes topic

Half the time a thread I start could go in either, and I don't think we would lose anything by merging the two.

Oooooh controversial!

FreeButtonBee · 19/09/2011 20:32

Yes i agree - call it food and recipes if you want to minimise the controversy!

thestringcheeseincident · 19/09/2011 20:33

Yes do agree.

Stormwater · 19/09/2011 20:34

Agree, I never know where to post with these two.

OliviaMumsnet · 19/09/2011 20:45

hmm - a consensus.
Any objections?

TheSkiingGardener · 19/09/2011 20:46

The power of MNHQ is truly daunting!

Yes, good idea. I never know where to post.

Quick, Olivia. Before someone objects.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 19/09/2011 20:47

Yes please! Have never understood why we have both.

ColdSancerre · 19/09/2011 20:48

I also agree.

LowLevelWhingeing · 19/09/2011 20:50

excellent idea.

TrillianAstra · 19/09/2011 20:58

I agree. I can't see a clear distinction between the two.

While we're having a tidy up, what about changing "weaning" to "feeding children" or something? I'm always surprised when picky eater/behavioural difficulties are in "food".

bigTillyMint · 20/09/2011 13:15

No objections!

Ephiny · 20/09/2011 13:24

Sounds good to me. People seem to use them interchangeably anyway.

debka · 20/09/2011 13:25

Good idea!

trailing · 22/09/2011 03:50

Yes please! I also agree with Lowlevelwhingeing's idea.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 22/09/2011 04:11

LowLevel, I think of the picky eating posts as belonging in Parenting, so I think Feeding Child would clarify that as well.

And it's a yes from me.

VivaLeBeaver · 22/09/2011 08:06

I agree.

I also agree with the teens and preteens. If I'm posting about a 12 yo then the mother of 13 or 14 year old could have some good advice for me. But she might not see my post as she doesn't have a preteen and isn't reading that board. Tweenagers and teenagers.

TheSkiingGardener · 11/10/2011 12:57

Bumpety Bump.

Seems like no-one disagreed.

Any more thoughts MNHQ?
