This site has made a HUGE difference to my worries in my first 5 weeks as a new mum.
It has really helped my recovery and let me put things into perspective. Its a bit like writing in a diary, when posting conversations, except the diary gives back good advice!!!
Thank you to all who have helped so far and who will help me in the future.

That's lovely to hear - I agree that MN can be a real saviour.

It is great to know there is always somewhere to turn. I have actually started thinking "I'll ask my mumsnetters" before I think to ask friends and family if I have a query. And i usually get an answer quicker than I would if I was waiting for someone to return a phone call.

You know, you're right Kayleigh. This afternoon my deputy and another senior member of my department came to tell me they are leaving at Xmas. Good (any) maths teachers are not easy to come by, yet I found myself thinking "never mind, I'll ask on MN, someone is bound to know someone who wants to teach maths at a SW London inner city school starting January"

Hmm

Anyone know someone who wants to teach maths at a SW London inner city school starting January?

Fisil, think you might get a better response on an Education thread !
