how do you define a troll?

this is a general question and just asking as I have been wondering.
I aways thought a person couldn't be a troll if people had met them in rl.

An internet troll may be a real person. I think you are confusing a troll and a sock puppet.

A troll can certainly be met in real life. People lie in person as much as they do on the internet.

Well, technically, a troll is someone who comes onto a forum and tells lies/stories/what have you to gain attention. They stir things up. And meeting people in real life can continue that.

It was confirmed that CVQ appeared under a few other different guises on here too.
