Why are so many people using Christmas names already?

Did I miss the official launch of the Christmas names? (like the turning on of the Christmas lights).

I changed my name today after hearing my first Christmas song on the radio.

Voila. Now I'm getting in the Xmas spirit, where did I put those tree decorations???

We nearly bought a real tree today

But then my brain eventually went back into sensible mode (a rare thing).

Miaou: yes. You remember it from last year?

Oooooh I can't wait to put our tree up, I am more excited than the kids!!!!!

There isn't an official name changing day (not imposed by mumsnet HQ anyways) so don't be embarrassed. Guess it's like the rest of Xmas stuff - some folks just start earlier than others.....

I've been using my Xmas name for at least two years! I just liked it and stuck with it after Xmas one year.

and at least one mnetter is putting her Christmas tree up today.
and there are Christmas poems.
and the bat is all Christmassy.
