Especially when \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/style_and_beauty/1220715-Per-Una-Speziale-continue-to-excel-themselves\Per Una} is continually slagged off. Don't get it.

Other thread here - I don't think it actually answers the question yet though!

TobyLerone · 08/07/2011 15:52

EJOG...wrong link perhaps? Wink

bibbitybobbityhat · 08/07/2011 15:55

I am guessing because it featured a photo of a member of the public and it just might have gone viral and she'd have been identified, and that might not be the the best publicity for mn? Just a guess.

Fimbo · 08/07/2011 15:58

Yes have got it now. Think the op could have just been deleted though, rather than the whole thing.

Meh, the photo has had over 1000 views and has been on Twitter the whole time, so if it goes viral at least MN have covered their arses.

It's still hypocritical crap though.

AnyFuleKno · 08/07/2011 16:22

Someone on the thread said it was them...perhaps they werent joking!

TobyLerone · 08/07/2011 16:26

A few people on the thread said it was them. As happens on every thread in a similar vein none of which seem to get deleted.

AnyFuleKno · 08/07/2011 16:28

I'm thinking it really was them and they asked for it to get deleted

TobyLerone · 08/07/2011 16:32

Which means that MN's explanation was a big old fib Hmm

Ah well. I'm done. Onwards and upwards!

No it wasn't, TobyLerone. We're not in the business of fibbing about such stuff.

We had reports about that thread - but not from the woman whose photograph was posted up.

We deleted the thread because we thought posting a possibly identifiable picture of a random member of the public, and then inviting everyone to criticise her personal appearance, was not something Mumsnet is about.

AnyFuleKno · 08/07/2011 22:53

fair enough
