Bin the Biscuit!

It is the most pointless thing ever. Lends absolutely nothing to any discussion. If you've got no comment then there's no point in posting and your contribution is dull as ditchwater. If you're using it to imply that the OP is a tit then say so, don't use a bloody biscuit to hide behind. I hate it!

Discuss :)

And if anyone post a biscuit on this thread I'll send The Boys round :o

I like it, its a sort of "face palm".

if we're ditching things, I'd rather AIBU. people use it because of the traffic, wtf does that say about us? that we are argumentative bitches? its almost become a forum within a forum, like the for sale/pram hun debacle ages ago.

HelenMumsnet · 01/07/2011 09:40

@RebeccaMumsnet

Biscuit

Don't hide, RebeccaMumsnet. Us Girls can take 'em on...

Someone? Anyone?

Cattleprod · 01/07/2011 09:54

I would like clarification as to whether it is a stale-tasting, overpriced jammy dodger, or the far superior type of biscuit with the white cream inside and sugar sprinkled over the jam section.

Would make a big difference as to whether I approve or not. Smile

Cattleprod · 01/07/2011 09:56

They do make good boobs though!

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/07/2011 10:02

Alright, I'll give you that. They are very good boobs... far superior to (.)(.) although the latter more correctly represents mine. Don't think they were ever as perky as the biscuits

I think you should get rid of ALL of them for a week and then give them back one at a time for good behaviour. You can hold the Hmm back as like the ultimate reward when mn has accomplished something joyful and helpful, like resolving the pensions crisis or Prince William's hair loss.

swanker · 01/07/2011 11:35

Hmm Slubber.

The Hmm is the best one! Just leave that, and take all the rest.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/07/2011 11:56

No, you can't touch Hmm. I have been known to write [hmm ] on FB and the like where the icon doesn't exist. I miss it when it's not there!

I thought Jordan was on the other thread? :o

allhailtheaubergine · 01/07/2011 12:04

I agree. The biscuit is a bunch of arse. Especially when preceded by the words "...my very first".

Hmm is excellent.

:) is superb when used correctly.

I quite enjoy Confused too, but only in a passive aggressive "what on earth can you possibly be twittering about" sort of way.

Slubberdegullion · 01/07/2011 12:58

Hmm right back atcha swaker.

Incentivise! That's what this site needs more of. Positive reward based strategies to improve behaviour.

Tortoiseonthehalfshell · 01/07/2011 13:04

Gwendoline, I am behind you one hundred per cent.

And not only because I'm assuming The Boys won't look there.

Tortington · 01/07/2011 13:09

i think the pointlessness is the genius

i can't see how you can't see that?!

The Biscuit can stay but the Bear has to go.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 01/07/2011 13:16

Has that little picture got a fag in his mouth?

PelvicFloor0fSteel · 01/07/2011 13:20

I think if you're going to lose the biscuit you'd have to get rid of the wine and brew too.

Passing round Wine, Brew and Biscuits is very sociable but doesn't really add much to the discussion.

And that was really my first biscuit as I've never found a suitable use for it before!

Tortington · 01/07/2011 13:26

no he;s whistling, biscuit man isn't a dirty smoker how dare you!
