Blank thread titles

YorkieGate · 26/05/2011 21:44

Every so often when I'm looking down the list of thread titles, say in Style and Beauty, there is a thread that has no title, its just blank. So you can't click on the link to open it, but (and this is the bit I don't get) it then says there are, say, 5 posts on that thread. One of the posts is the original OP, but how did the other 4 posts get on there when you can't click on the title to open the thread up??????

you get on them by doing a timed search IIRC.

No idea how they get started though Confused

YorkieGate · 26/05/2011 21:53

Yes, the timed search does work. I'm dead nosey you see and have always wondered what was going on with them. I bet when you get on most of them they aren't really worth the bother!

how do you lot usually search messages on mn? in active convos?

YorkieGate · 26/05/2011 21:59

Never use the active link at the top (next to I'm On), just go to the boards that I normally frequent and see what is going on. Sometimes use the Most Active thingy in the box in the top right, on a tab alongside discussions of the day.

Just to let you all know Tech are aware of this and looking into it.

Hello all, yes you can get into those threads by doing something like "last 15 minutes" then clicking someone's name in the thread to jump to that post. Once you are in the thread you can post. The system isn't supposed to allow blank thread titles but in certain circumstances they can happen. We'll have a look at fixing that...
