Could we have a petitions topic?

Hello MNHQ,
There are obviously many worthy causes out there, and it would be good to have a home for them (apologies if there is one already and I haven't noticed...)

Thanks Smile

I don't know.
I probably wouldn't notice some good causes if they were posted in a petitions topic.
I think it's fine to have them in the relevant area. And I like that they can get a discussion going.

(Admittedly I did put an allotment petition in the gardening topic recently).

I know what you mean, Paisley leaf, but sometimes there isn't a massively relevant area, so might be good for those less definite items which might get lost otherwise?

yes please, a petition and causes one would be good, then they could just be moved there if in wrong topic

Erm, well, at the mo, we don't really allow petitions on the Talk Boards at all - on the old there-end-up-being-so-many-people-get-cross principle.

We usually send peitiony people to the Charities Noticeboard instead.

Are you folks saying you LIKE petitions?

HRHShoesytwoesy · 20/05/2011 18:33

there is a thread in the news that started out not about a petition but is now one, I het them personally

Hi Helen, I didn't realise that they weren't really allowed, as there are always a couple of petitions knocking about; don't think that many people would like to answer all of them, but would be good to have them coralled away from the main drag, so that you could either avoid /know where to put or find them ...
