1 - I still can't post on it (have started a thread about this before). Despite being logged in it says when I post a message that my user name is not recognised. I have no problem on the standard version with the same name. Does anyone else have this problem?

2 - it is very slow at loading compared to other sites such as the Guardian mobile site for instance. The images take ages to load. Is it possible to take the emoticons out (imagine this is what is meant by images) and just have the emoticon word shown in brackets (this is what it looks like on 'threads I am on'. It is very frustrating that the mobile site is so slow.

3 - On active convos, please can you have how many messages are on a thread, like active convos on the standard site. This would save opening a thread to see that nobody has posted since I last read it.

What do other people think??

  1. How did you post a fred about it then? Wink I don't usually try to post, as I cannot be arsed logging in and, if you think my typing is shit now, wait till you see me try to type on my BB
  1. Takes forever to load - by the time it's loaded, I no longer have time to look at it.
  1. Oh yes, number of messages would be useful.

Pol! No, I have posted this from my laptop Smile

Yes god only knows what my posts would look like from a BB, my fat fingers get all the words wrong.

I have got pagination on as well - on mobile have 50 messages per page. It took an ice age to load if it was set on unlimited messages.

Mine works fine on Iphone, it's very fast.

And I have no problem posting.

Agree number of messages would be helpful on threads I am on, and active convos.

Tee2072 · 18/05/2011 13:59

I have no problems with it on my iPhone. Loads fine, images and all and can post threads and make comments no problem.

What phone do you have?

GetOrfMoiCase · 18/05/2011 14:02

Blackberry, as does Poledra.

Perhaps it is a BB problem.

That said, all other mobile sites (Times, Guardian etc) load really fast.

What device are you using? Are you using wifi or 3g - would have an impact on speed.

I have no issues using mobile site (htc desire - android stock 2.2 browser) but it can be slow on 3g.

Would be worth trying another browser on your device, opera can be good for slow connections.

I agree with point 3 :)

Sirzy · 18/05/2011 14:05

Mine works great from my iphone, but agree that the number of posts would be handy!

CucumberMuncher · 21/05/2011 21:40

Mine is fast but I can't post either.

I can type it all out but when I hit post message it just reloads the page with out doing anything. What is that all about!?

Potplant · 21/05/2011 21:50

Fine on my iPhone

Would like number 3 on OP's list.

MayDayChild · 21/05/2011 21:52

Ditto potplant

RockStockandTwoOpenBottles · 21/05/2011 21:53

I've got BB and the mobile site is crappy for me too. Works great on iPod, so agree it must be BB.
