I want to join it but I am a bit confused. It says that to be a member you have to have a blog, that has been regularly updated - at least in the last month.

But I haven't started mine yet. Confused So presumably that registration form is to link to an existing blog, rather than to start one? How do I start then, and at what point can I be inducted into MN Bloggers Network?

Hurry up please as I have urgent and interesting things to say and I need to get them off my chest asap. Grin

No one has been inducted yet. Those of us who have joined have not heard anything from MNHQ. Well, at least I haven't!

You can just start a blog, you don't have to be part of the network first. I recommend WordPress.com.

But that wouldn't be a Mumsnet blog would it? So if you have a blog hosted by someone else can you link it to MN? All the ones I've clicked on on that list seem to be MN hosted blogs. I've just seen it says: 'to start a blog on MN go here' so I guess you just register and start blogging? I'll try it!

It doesn't have to be a MN blog to be part of the network. Most of us who have applied to join (there's a thread around here somewhere) are on WP or Blogger.

MN does have blogs, but you don't have to have one to be on the network.

I have no idea I know nothing about MN blogs. But I would imagine it is public like the rest of the site.

Bugger bugger bugger. Having just read all the starting tips on bloggin, and realising how it can potentially blossom, I really wish I'd used an alternative user name now. I wonder if I can cut and paste the first entry into a new set-up with a different name and then delete the first one? I'm too techincally ill-equipped for this malarkey!
