Can anyone help please? Problem when typing posts.

Very strange indeed. The text on the display (in the message box - not the subject line box) is visibly lagging behind the visual display on the screen - creating a sort of juddering effect when I type - very disconcerting - does anyone know what this is please? Could it be indicative of a virus for example?

No other problems posting on any other sites or e-mails etc - only when typing in posts on Mumsnet. Wierdly, absolutely fine when I started this thread and typed in the subject line.

Any help much appreciated.

Sorry - that's not a very clear explanation is it...

What I mean is that as I type words on the keyboard- the visual display on the screen lags behind what I am typing ....

Does that makes sense?

I've had exactly the same problem over the last few days, but only on our main computer - I can type on my laptop without any problems. I'd assumed it was to do with the fact that our computer is rather old than anything MN-related, but maybe not if you're experiencing the same thing.

So sorry, I'm absolutely no help (although have just noticed that the display on my laptop is now struggling slightly to keep up with my typing too), but can empathise wrt how frustrating it is. Perhaps it's a problem restricted to continental MNers. Wink

I think it is just that your fingers are typing too fast for the keyboard! Grin Super quick fingers.

Thanks for responses!!

Oh that's interesting linzer - thanks for input - perhaps will ask Mnsnet if that could be a possibility (the continental aspect I mean!!)

It really does make it virtually impossible to type ... very strange indeed

Grin PA given my age and general decreptitude, quite likely to be a case of brain not keeping up with fingers (if it weren't for the fact that I could type freely and un-jerkily when writing a "disgusted of Tunbridge Wells" note of complaint this evening to an one-line clothes retailer who shall remain nameless !! )

Oh - giving up now - this jerky typing is making my eyeballs jump around ...very disconcerting ...

Thanks anyway guys ...
