What happened to the M McCann thread?

It was fairly civilised when I posted on it this morning (though rife with what I assume to have been uncivilised remarks which had been deleted). Now it's gone from my threads I'm on - what happened?

OP posts:

MNHQ deleted it because deleting lots of individual posts to avoid potential libel was very time consuming and ruining thier w/e.
Which may give you a clue as to how it was going.

Bugger I missed it and would have been interested in that. Can anyone give me the gist of it, politely and in an unlikely to be deleted way of course!

AimingForSerenity · 17/04/2011 00:21

Would like to add, I am interested because we stayed in the same apartments the year before it all happened so it seems more relevant to me somehow.

just the usual from what i cd see - for and against the parents , few conspiracy theories thrown in etc etc

Well - done to Mumsnet for moderating any negative toward the McCann's. On some social bookmarking sites - there are groups that incited hatred toward the McCann's and many groups are verging on witch hunts!

This couple made a tessible mistake on that fatal night and they are paying dearly for it. So why are people still beating them over the head over this? and it is so unproductive.

I came across an nicely written article in support of Kate's new book.

Thought I would share it with mums on here.

Not sure if links are allowed on this site - so this is the name of the website: canidoit.org

Title: Why folk should stop punishing Kate McCann and buy her book.

genesis777 · 13/05/2011 11:33

My apologies for the spelling mistake terrible (not tessible)

littlemeishere · 06/04/2012 22:02

A terrible mistake. Yes, it certainly was that, at the very least.

I would urge anyone who wants to be open-minded about this case to look at the 'McCann Files' - they are all available online and makes for incredibly interesting reading.

Why resurrect this thread? Leave it be FGS.

LadyBeagleEyes · 07/04/2012 11:56

I've reported it Pinot.
