It's probably not because there's a "rule" about user names involving the word mumsnet, but because there's another user registered with that name...great minds think alike etc...

There is a rule, but there hasn't always been one - I have 'PCMumsnet' in my name history, from 4 years ago, which I used only once, on a night in February when iirc, Shoshe was causing a disturbance in the bar....
