Deleting my posts on mumsnet

Hi

I was just wondering if it was possible for all posts under my posting name to be deleted? Not under this name, but another one.

Someone has found out the name I post under and I know they will search. Is there anyway they can all be deleted if I email with my usual poster name?

Best thing to do is report your post halfbaked as you need to contact MN direct, that will send an email straight through to them drawing attention to your request!

Good luck, sucks when you get found on here by someone in RL. I name change regularly to avoid this!

I know, thanks.

I will find a post under my usual posting name and do that.

e-mail them from your registered mn e-mail address. that helps too.

So they can delete everything under my usual name?

I can't believe this has happened. Someone guessed who I was and they have said they are going to search for my posts.

I could kick myself for posting some quite personal things Sad

I'm so worried I won't be able to sleep.

They should be able to do it but it might take a few hours to get done it depends on who is about. Have you reported your post and emailed them?

halfbakedcookie · 31/03/2011 00:25

Yes, I found a post of mine and reported it ans asked if they could delete everything under my name.

I also emailed the 'contact us' address in the my mumsnet area.

Can't believe I've been so stupid.

Its easily done. I suspect you wont be the first and wont be the last. Regular name changing helps. But i suspect there are many of us who have been guilty of this in the past.

halfbakedcookie · 31/03/2011 00:37

Thanks.

Do you know if the contact us @ mumsnet was the best email to get them on?

yes it is the one that gets their attention. Reporting the post helps too.
