Picture changes

We are just making a few changes to
a) allow you to include a picture with a small add.
b) allow you to include a picture on a profile when you create it rather than having to create then add (IYSWIM).

As a result, old pictures on profiles may not be visible for the next few minutes. They'll come back later.

Regards,
Tech

The old pictures should all be back now.

Tech, is there any way that MN can automatically resize pics that are uploaded?

Because it seems that threads with pics on often start:

"My beautiful DD/DS!"

Then the next post is usually:

"Oh pants, how do you upload a photo?"

Then there are numerous posts from people explaining how to, with frustrated posts from the person trying, then an offer from one or other MNer to have the pics emailed to them so they can do it.

Not sure if auto-resizing's possible, but it'd be nice

agree hunker, but I've just figured out how to resize and crop a lot, so can now do the pic thing without sending it to SG first.

Hi Hunker,
That should be possible now. The site resizes the picture itself so we've upped the limit. You can also preview to make sure it's going to work.

Hi Tech

When you say it should be possible now, do you mean since I posted? Because I tried it just before and it didn't work - I know, I could just try again, couldn't I!

No we changed it this morning. Pictures direct from a digital camera without any shrinking are probably still going to be too big - we'll have a look at that next.

Brilliant - thank you
