... or more frequent, concerning your Campaigns ?

It looks as if there's a new thread started when something has been decided, there's then quite a bit of discussion, but then some just 'tail off' with no apparent monitoring or input from MNHQ.

A case in point is about lads' mags being visible to youngsters in supermarkets (and even stronger in newsagents / petrol station shops).

Interest in action, went very quiet, I posted a 'bump' around 3 weeks ago, but it looks as if it is sitting in limbo, now.

Lots of comments from MNetters, relatively little seen in response to those comments (either to acknowledge some of the points being made, or to report any action going on behind the scenes) and it makes me for one feel uncertain about what is being done, when a week or two later, some other topic comes into the foreground.

Over Christmas/New Year it was the EastEnders situation that took attention of MNHQ. Then we have a new campaign (perhaps triggered by visit of Ed Vaizey, or is that too cynical!) about getting the ISPs to block/filter porn. I've not looked at every thread, and I may be completely wrong (about how much following up is going on) but a regular 'status' report showing the list of campaigns and what steps have been / will be done, held as a sticky at the top, would really make it possible to see how MNHQ (and MNetters) are/could make a difference on the issues being raised there.

PS Yes, it may be criticism (esp seeing a couple of threads where I've been commenting) but it really is intended as constructive criticism

Yes it's a good idea. Sometimes things are just bubbling away and take a bit of time. For instance on lads mags we are just making sure that we get through to and a give the major retailers a chance to respond before we publish the responses - but we are very close.

But we could do a few more updates along those lines, so we will.

[Good point, well made]
