My eyes and my head hurt.

Please?

OP posts:
StartingAfresh · 13/01/2011 13:27

What green?

Fimbo · 13/01/2011 13:28

Where where? I see no green.

Guacamole · 13/01/2011 13:29

It's not even a nice green! It's actually very dark on the iPhone and not especially easy to read.

Guacamole · 13/01/2011 13:30

The OP of every thread now has a dark green background for all of their posts.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 13/01/2011 13:30

another vote for not green - or at least not that green!

Anonymousbird · 13/01/2011 13:31

All posts by the OP's, instead of being on an easy on the eye beige kind of colour are now deepest emerald green.

not an unpleasant colour in itself, but bloody awful on screen to read against.

NOT ERGONOMIC AT ALL MNHQ?!?!?!?!!?

OP posts:
CabbagefromaBaby · 13/01/2011 13:33

I'm on classic...no green.

Fimbo · 13/01/2011 13:34

So is this only happening if you are using a phone?

Anonymousbird · 13/01/2011 13:55

I am not on a phone, I am on "Mumsnet New" option, and it's still flippin green.

OP posts:
ILoveItWhenYouCallMeBoo · 13/01/2011 14:47

why the change? what is the point of it?

ChickensFlyingUnderTheRadar · 13/01/2011 14:48

I have no green.

Malkuth · 13/01/2011 14:49

I find it hard to read too.

Pingpong · 13/01/2011 14:49

I have no green

DooinMeCleanin · 13/01/2011 14:50

I like the green. It makes it easier to spot where the op has posted.

I am MN classic but have opted to have posts by the op highlighted. It used to be beige, but today it is green.

ANTagony · 13/01/2011 14:51

Doesn't do it for me - its too bright/ theres a lack of contrast with the text and makes the op harder to read.

mloo · 13/01/2011 14:52

I have green, it's one of the options you have to set under customise, to have OP's posts highlighted thru whole thread. It's brill when you want to find out what OP actually said in a thread, rather than all the horrible things they were accused of. Wink

I liked the light brown better, more of a classic MN colour, but the green is okay by me.

I wish I could invert all the black and white (so have white text on black background) for MN regular posts, is that possible?

InmyheadIminParis · 13/01/2011 14:53

Woah! Way too green. It's horrible. Can we go back to the wishy-washy beige please?

AntonDuBurk · 13/01/2011 14:54

Hated the beige though!

I'm assuming OP highlight still doesn't work on MN mobile?

(Poor Tech(s). We're never happy are we!)

InmyheadIminParis · 13/01/2011 14:55

I've tried it in all the options (workplace, classic, etc) and it's still TOO GREEN. I've even changed the brightness and contrast on my screen, but it hasn't helped.

Are you there MN?

ethelina · 13/01/2011 14:57

I like it. Smile

NigellaPleasePollockWithMe · 13/01/2011 14:59

Need a thread linked to Farrow & Ball to vote which is the best colour.

Prefer the old 'beige' to the new green.

Fimbo · 13/01/2011 15:52

Och I never use that option. Just tried it and its ok but decided to bother, never had it before so will not start now Grin

TheManWhoSoldtheWorld · 13/01/2011 16:03

I don't like the green either - it's a horrible hospital green too.

The beige was easier to read, but any paler colour would be fine.

NetworkGuy · 14/01/2011 09:11

on the other thread I suggested a change from No / Yes to No and then a selection of colours.

Ideally you'd get a small palette displayed to choose your own colour for each type of highlighting (and perhaps if they went that far, it would even be possible to have a background colour selection, so mloo could invert the messages as requested!)

werewolf · 14/01/2011 09:15

Same problem as op. A lighter colour would be preferable.
