Thread graveyard?

I was wondering if there was any chance we could have a place/thread/topic specifically for laying to rest those threads that have to be killed off for one reason or another?

It seems that when a thread goes awry, MNHQ may come on briefly to explain that they are pulling the thread and why, and then it's just gone.

So the next day, up spring 3 new threads in different topics entitled "What happened to the 'to think XXX is a turdface' thread?" Then the whole discussion is re-hashed some more with speculation as to what happened and whether OP was a troll and if XXX was, in fact, a turdface and if the posting style of the OP was incriminating because of her use of apostrophes.

But if there were a proper resting place for those threads, it would save all of the interested parties the trouble of asking.

i.e. AIBU thread "to think XXX is a turdface" has been deleted because it contained potentially libellous information. And too many apostrophes. Please put down your buns and desist. love and huns, MNHQ.

Good idea.

Oh definitely - although making sure nothing else can be added, and still deleting any posts that break the rules.

BTW - I think XXX was a turdface.

Can you just not lock the thread so it can still be read but not posted on?
