Please can you leave your comments/explanation available to view? Because you tend to post and then delete shortly after not everyone gets to see what you have said. TIA

I think that would be quite contentious TBH. Sometimes it's a judgement call and to say 'so and so is a git' is defamatory. You would end up with asinine comments like 'we have deleted this thread because we don't like the tone of it/abusive comments/breach of terms of use. etc.

TrillianAstra · 22/12/2010 15:24

Or leave up the thread with its title and just a message saying 'this thread has been deleted because Justine gets triggerhappy it was in breach of rule X, Y, or Z'

CatherineMumsnet · 22/12/2010 16:12

Hi all, we do try and leave posts up for a short while before we delete, but we'll make a note to leave for as long as possible :)

shinyshoesandglitterypoos · 23/12/2010 14:02

How about 'this thread has been put on the naughty step for the next 43 minutes' Wink

DanceInTheDark · 24/12/2010 13:20

Instead of the message that says "oops we cannot find the thread you are looking for...." Can you change it to - "this thread got stuck up it's own arse/went tits up so we made it go poof" Grin
