I am hiding them all, but everytime I look there is another, couldn't it have it's own topic?

it is a temporary news item.no need for an entire topic imho.

CommanderDrool · 11/12/2010 14:25

What would you call it?

Rioting? Grin

nightmarebeforechristmas · 11/12/2010 16:25

well we have a royalty one, so why not student protest/riot one?

OP posts:
InkyStamp · 11/12/2010 16:32

Why not put them in the politics topic?

nightmarebeforechristmas · 11/12/2010 17:14

Hello. Thanks for the suggestion.

We can see why you'd like to put the student riot threads all into one topic but we really only create new topics for ishoos that we think will have perennial appeal - ie be used week in/week out, year in/year out.

It's kinda normal, we think, for there to be several threads about a big news story while it's happening and for a day or so after After all, there are often lots of different angles to discuss.

It's equally normal for threads on that issue to gradually disappear afterwards.

And we don't see any reason at the moment why the student riot threads shouldn't follow a similar pattern.

Obviously, we'll keep an eye, though. And we'd be happy to revisit if things change...

Applauds Helen's response.

Can we have a separate topic for people requesting every news story with more than 2 threads has its own topic though? Xmas Grin

southeastastra · 12/12/2010 11:45

Grin second that last post

nightmarebeforechristmas · 12/12/2010 11:53
