It's not self flagellation. I just wanted to see if the new "10,000 volts down your ADSL line to blow up your computer" function is working.

I have reported loads today, but none seems to have been actioned.

Tee2072 · 01/12/2010 06:51

What if you're still on dial up and get reported? Does your house blow up?

::wonders if dial up even still exists::

NetworkGuy · 01/12/2010 10:09

You can be sure dial up still does, Tee.

Sad, I know, but I have to make 10 calls a month on my BT line (as they put line in free) and one of my 'favourite numbers' is an 0870 (because I do not want to pester friends / relatives every month !)

The 0870 is one of the many dial-up services still around (there are probably lots more 0845s, but I used to have a few 0870 numbers to receive faxes before OFCOM rules changes and most 0870s were switched to 0871s (up to 10p/min and not included in free calls on weekend from BT).

I didn't realise we'd developed this feature already.
