I seem to only be able to post a few words.

SirBoobAlot · 26/11/2010 11:44

Forgive the bluntness of post for said reason!

Sirboob, it seems you can't use the pound sign in posts, it has been doing it since yesterday.

Obviously if your post didn't have a pound sign in, then ignore me.

LoopyLoops · 26/11/2010 11:47

Ooooh, I gave up posting some handy advice about the cost of laminating pouches, now I know why!

SirBoobAlot · 26/11/2010 11:47

Haven't been using the pound sign, but athaasnks for the tip off.

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:28

I havent got a pound sign but seem OK as long as I dont use punctuation.
Except a fullstop.
Shit for other posters to read though.
And makes me look a twatSmile

AdamTech · 26/11/2010 13:31

What kind of punctuation? These are all fine for me: " ! . , / ? ' : ; ^ % @ ] [ + = ) ( * _ < >

The pound character is currently causing problems, however. We're taking a look at it, though.

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:36

!"$%&/()=

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:39

Oh I stand corrected.
Some work.
Not a comma though.

Emoo · 26/11/2010 13:40

Having same problem with a different thread. Cannot post anything longer than a sentence or so. And am not using any odd punctuation.

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:40

?

Babbit · 26/11/2010 13:41

I have been trying to start a thread but it keeps disappearing. I expect it will pop up 4 times now.

Emoo · 26/11/2010 13:41

,,,, comma works for me

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:42

Oh can get the elusive question mark but not an apostrophe.

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:42

,,,

Emoo · 26/11/2010 13:43

Rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb rhubarb

diddl · 26/11/2010 13:44

apostrophe still doesnt work for me.

Emoo · 26/11/2010 13:58

Have solved the problem for me. It didn't like me cutting and pasting after composing a message in Word. I had to retype into the box. Most punctuation seems to work though.
.,:;[]{}'@#~!"$%^&*()-_=+
too chicken to try the pound sign.

diddl · 26/11/2010 14:04

+*#',;.:!"$%&/()={}

diddl · 26/11/2010 14:05

Just seems to be shift 3 for me then.

SirBoobAlot · 26/11/2010 14:10

Can't post more than 20 words by the looks of things.

OP posts:
AdamTech · 26/11/2010 14:40

For those of you with difficulties posting longer messages, where are you initially typing the message? Is it directly into the message box or is it in Microsoft Word or some other editor, followed by a copy and paste?

domesticsluttery · 26/11/2010 16:03

o with a ^ over it isn't working for me (alt 135)

!"$%^&*()[]{}:;@'~#.?/

domesticsluttery · 26/11/2010 16:50

Or even alt 147 Blush

Although alt 135 doesn't work either!
