MN still defaulting to the mobile version on my iPhone.

It's upsetting, please make it stop.

Make it stop.

Stamps feet.

Worries MN will start kettling troublemakers in mobile site hell and never let us back into the real one.

Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:06

Please!
I like using my iPhone horizontally which is impossible on the mobile version... And the font is so large it hurts my eyes... And in active discussions I can't see how popular (how many posts) a thread is... And I get none of the smiley advice... And even if I remember what to write for a particular smiley it looks wrong... And I'm going to get RSI from all the scrolling I have to do just to see thread titles... And so on and so on !

Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:07

Okay I've now found the smiley hints, but I really can't imagine scrolling all the way down there just to give you lot an Angry face!

Igglybuff · 25/11/2010 13:11

I'm ready to be kettled Grin

Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:11

Especially when Angry is the same size as ,
What's that all about?

Honestly Mumsnet I appreciate someone has gone to a lot of hardwork to produce a mobile site... On some mobiles I can see how it's necessary, but not on an iPhone... Please at least allow us a choice!

SlummyMummyAndProud · 25/11/2010 13:12

Please fix it!

Scootergrrrl · 25/11/2010 13:15

(Starts virtually rocking Tech's computer chair and graffiting MNHQ)

Please make it better

misdee · 25/11/2010 13:20

ah but the mobile site works great on the blackberry. keep it!!

Igglybuff · 25/11/2010 13:22

We should have a choice. For example I can choose to use the BBC or guardian website or mobile site on my iPhone. It doesn't force me!

OP posts:
Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:22

I have no problem with keeping it, so long as iPhone users can opt out!

RustyBear · 25/11/2010 13:23

There is a link at the bottom to go to the standard site, but that doesn't seem to be working at the moment -it just takes you to the mobile version of the home page

Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:28

I know... I keep trying it in the vain hope!

Guacamohohohole · 25/11/2010 13:29

How do you get a thread noticed by the Mumsnet tech team?

Igglybuff · 25/11/2010 13:32

Report the OP and explain you want them to look at it. They do check but reporting is quicker. I did that this morning.

Scootergrrrl · 25/11/2010 13:33

Igglybuff · 25/11/2010 13:33

Report doesn't work on my iPhone either!
Seriously Mumsnet, has the mobile version even been product tested?

Now how does one report that the report button doesn't work on the mobile version?!
