Is it my imagination or has the home page topic list got more baby and pregnancy orientated in recent weeks?

I haven't seem many topic listings for older children, and topics covering teenagers and children with special needs don't seem to feature too much either.

There seem to be lots more pregnancy and baby postings on talk - could be coincidence or a natural progression after all those spring baby announcements. But are parents of babies seeing the home page topics and zooming in here, while parents of older children etc don't realise mumsnet talk covers them too? Not a criticsim, more a query

Also, I remember Bossykate asking where the 'ask the experts' section had gone. Did I miss the answer to this?

Hi Tigermoth,
It's not been a conscious decision on our part - we tend to just reflect the bulk of the threads on the go - but you're right to point it out and pull us up because we should have more of a balanced selection of discussions of the day to reflect the wide age range of members' children. We'll make a note to be more careful in future.
As for ask the experts, I'm afraid we had to put them on enforced sabbatical - lack of time and resources to deal with them, the next mumsnet book, school hols and the rest of the site stuff. We do hope to resurrect them soon, though You'll find the discussion with bossykate here .
