Could I ask a small Christmas favour of MNHQ ?

I know it's early, but I have already encountered a few posters who have come up with a perfect name change, only to be thwarted by the 30 character maximum.

Could we have a little Christmas charity from you lovely people and maybe move the maximum to 40 or 45? Even temporarily ?

Then we could all incorporate our original names into our christmas names with festive abandon. Grin

Thanks.

I desperately wanted to to be YouKnowNothingOfTheAmazingMumsnetTeamWhoAreDefinitelyTheMostestChristmassyiestPeopleEver

But I can't :(. So sad.

And it had such elegant tautology too.

Grin Grin Grin @ YouKnowStuffing, very good.
Duly noted, I will flag up and let you know.

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 17/11/2010 21:52

I liked how it was both festive and succinct :o

Thanks Rebecca.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 17/11/2010 21:54

Mouseface · 17/11/2010 22:07

I simply have to be 'NotACreatureStirredNotEvenAMouseface' 'cos Bitter made the name work just for me and we are friends and everything. Please Miss.

Sorry, but we'll be keeping the current limits. The longer names would get truncated and you wouldn't be able to see them, with the way things currently are!

YouKnowStuffingisforLunch · 20/11/2010 00:02

Oh Adam. :(. You've let us down. Not only yourself, but your family, and all those who may follow :( 'tis a sad day

:o. Love you really.

BecauseImWorthIt · 20/11/2010 00:04

Tsk. So you're not prepared to re-configure the boards for Christmas, just to indulge us? Well really. Do you know who we are?

OracleInaCoracle · 20/11/2010 00:26

disgraceful, do you not quake at our feet? after all, WE swayed the election donchaknow. and we had nick clegg in tears. and we got DC a bollocking from his missus.

AitchTwoOh · 20/11/2010 00:28

Speaking of which... those statuses- have they disappeared now then? Why is that?

ChickensHaveNoMercyForTurkeys · 20/11/2010 20:11

Well. I've had to actually think and readjust my crimbo name. I hope you're pleased with yourself

BecauseImWorthIt · 20/11/2010 21:09

oh yes - I noticed that the statuses (statusi?!) have gone. I wonder why that is? MamaG won't be pleased.

HelenMumsnet · 23/11/2010 11:44

Yes, we're afraid the status things are broken for the moment. They're on our List of Things to Fix.
