Can I revive a suggestion I made in the past but add to it please?

Ages ago (in a previous name IIRC) I suggested having little boxes alongside the threads I'm watching so that we could select and tick numerous ones and then one click on a Remove from Watched Threads button. This would avoid laboriously doing them one by one.

This idea was well received by you all at HQ and there was talk of tech looking at this at some point.

Anyway, moving on to today, there are lots of royal wedding threads that I would like to hide but its a PITA to open each thread and then hide it. It would be great to have little boxes down the side so I can tick lots of them and then click on a Hide Threads button (although my Active Convos might look a bit empty as a result on days like today!)

There is an option to have 'hide' after each thread in actives. that way you just click and it goes poof :)

I have been reliably informed that this is on our huge to-do list and hasn't been forgotten

and could anything having to do with the Royal wedding have its own subject so I can hide it
