Inbox little red blob thingy

has disappeared!

So I don't know if I've got mail or not - and I'm really really important and so I must have mail.

In all seriousness, I got an email alert, but the red blobby thing wasn't there.

Mine comes and goes at random. My extra envelope has gone as well.

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 15:38

I have more important issues - I keep getting logged out every time I close my browser, despite ticking the remember me box.

I am really only posting on this thread to see if posting will keep me logged in....

BitOfFun · 11/11/2010 15:51

Mine is fine. But I am posting just to irritate you.

southeastastra · 11/11/2010 15:52

no blob!

Hullygully · 11/11/2010 15:53

I've got four blobs now, no six. I think all the little missing blobs are coming round to mine.

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 15:53

I think mine broke because of all the messages I get from everyone telling me how brilliant I am and that.

OP posts:
Hullygully · 11/11/2010 15:54

They are all crying in my envelope, yours said you were a bit horrid, Shirl.

ShirleyKnot · 11/11/2010 15:56

I'm bloody lovely. Except I did call someone a dickhead today and also someone called me a witch and also I got accused of being hostile.

I think I've finally arrived

strawberrycake · 11/11/2010 15:59

I've never noticed the inbox. Luckily nobody has noticed me either and I have discovered it to find it empty.

Hullygully · 11/11/2010 16:01

The "hostile" one was your blob.

RB - some browsers have a cookie option which means any you create during the session when browsing will be deleted when you close it.

I rarely close browsers (they sometimes crash, last time was when I had over 200 tabs open) but rarely shut down PCs either, to be honest, just tell the laptops to 'sleep' and they keep my browser and everything on disk ready for next time I power up. One of the desktops doesn't want to sleep so I just thing 'b*gger the extra electric' and leave it doing stuff 24x7 (recording radio off my DAB set, for example).

t's because BigTech is changing it and working on a flashing light and trumpets to announcea message.

RustyBear · 11/11/2010 18:21

I don't have any of my browsers set to delete cookies when I close them though - and it only started happening this afternoon and nothing had changed my end.

It's not just me though, someone else started a thread about it & AdamTech said they were having issues with it.

NetworkGuy · 11/11/2010 18:23

Ah, OK, then just don't close your browser !!

Hullygully · 12/11/2010 09:20

My blob is back, but I don't have any new messages.
