Please make him go away? This isn't actually political or personal. Just time for a change. Please.

Hello. And we'll see what we can do...

Whippet · 09/11/2010 13:39

Just don't put Red Ed there.....

justabit · 09/11/2010 16:55

Thanks.

Oh no, just noticed Boris has gone! My 2-year-old has become obsessed with that video and demands " More Boris Johnson mummy! I like Boris Johnson!" every time she sees me on the computer ... mind you as a left-leaning social scientist this was getting a bit embarrassing so I suppose thanks due from me too. I'll just have to find it on Youtube...

NancyMumsnet · 11/11/2010 11:20

Gah! Please one person, you upset another! :)

NetworkGuy · 11/11/2010 12:17

But Nancy, you surely have a link to the video for his 2-yo fan, don't you ?

AdamTech · 11/11/2010 12:42

Just for you, systemsaddict:

systemsaddict · 11/11/2010 12:52

Thank you, you have saved me from a big tantrum this evening! (although I am considering looking into some sort of reconditioning therapy for her if this obsession continues for much longer! Grin)

justabit · 11/11/2010 12:55

now I feel bad.

systemsaddict · 11/11/2010 13:21

seriously justabit you have done me a favour, I was starting to get concerned about her Grin

NetworkGuy · 11/11/2010 13:39

So, SA, what's the plan "Mummy is on the computer but Boris is not here now" (sometimes) and (special treat) "you've been so good today, let's see if we can find Boris for you" :) ?

systemsaddict · 11/11/2010 13:51

Aha brilliant I like your thinking! "Now if you can be a really, really good girl tonight I might just be able to find Boris for you. But first you must eat your dinner nicely and not throw forks at your brother. And then we will reward you with a nice long Boris Johnson session."

Is this good parenting? Or is this something I am going to fiercely regret in the long run?!

NetworkGuy · 11/11/2010 17:34

So long as this is not a daily 'bribe' my guess is she will get bored with Boris fairly quickly (and if not, you can hunt and hunt, but 'Oh dear, we could not find him tonight...').

justabit · 11/11/2010 19:36

seek the Boris

So to report back:

Link worked. Good so far. however. As a child of the digital generation she understands the Youtube layout. So she knows that when there are pictures down the right hand side each one represents a video.

I had never realised quite how many Boris Johnson clips there are on youtube ...

NetworkGuy · 12/11/2010 09:39

Ha Ha ha... yes, that is something of a problem, having a clever 'digital age' child who learns how to drive gadgets very fast...
