The 'hide this thread' button

I tend to MN on my HTC phone. In my preferences I have removed the 'hide' button from the active conversations page as I had a tendency to click on it by mistake when scrolling.

If I go into a thread specifically to hide it or if I read a thread but then decide it's offending me, I obviously then click on the 'hide this thread' link.

What bugs me is that a wee note comes up saying 'this thread is now hidden from your active conversations', but I'm still on the offending thread. Is there any way that the hide button could be changed to also take me either to active conversations or to the topics page?

Thanks in advance for considering this!

agreed, I've always found this rather irritating. I reckon that once you've clicked it should go back to active convos

It takes a second to click back on to active. What is the issue?

Come on, 2 seconds navigating a website is an eternity :)

Phew, I'm glad I'm not alone :)

Pixie - there's a setting in 'customise' where you can have the option to have a 'hide' link next to every thread (which I've only just found out about). Saves you having to click on a particularly emotive thread just to hide it.

But like the OP I use an HTC and clicking on the threads is a bugger without clicking the [hide] link right next to it.

Click 'customise', scroll down to 'other options' and find the one that says Put "hide" link on Active Convs? (hide selected threads from Talk) HTH :)
