HQ - why has my post button stopped working.

I typed a message out, hit post at got this:

ok - even weirder. i got this screen but the post went through

Pretty please could u squish this bug. I spent half of yesterday hitting my post button for nothing to happen. Me no likey :(

It has happened to me occasionally but just once at a time and then is fine again. Couldn't even be sure that I hadn't hit the preview post button instead of the post button.

I know you have been very busy recently but i would like an answer to this please.

I am hoping that this posts but will resort to emailing if this doesnt work...

yes but why is it that my post button wont work properally afterwards and has been doing nothing intermitantly despite furiously clicking it.

It's a weird one. I still get it intermittently. And it seems to be random as to whether the message actually posts or not. Just that weird message message $ etc page. You can often click back from it and retrieve your message. I then c+p it until I know whether it actually posted.

I've been reporting this for 3 or 4 years so I presume it's not fixable.

I use IE8, MN Classic if that helps Tech at all.

Hi Teasing - still having problems? We'll need tech to take a look at this tomorrow morning.

Afraid so but it is one of those annoying intermitant things which is a night mare to pin point why i suspect. Post has been ok but have had rl rather then mn so i think the post button had a rest. Had the same problems as others with reagrds to active convos and number of threads though.

Thanks, it would be fab if it was possible to be fixed though.

Oi HQ, it's doing it again. More and more frequently. At least 3 times today. But it's been happening for at least 4 years now. It just seems to go through phases of doing it a lot.

What are you changing?

I think it's that bug that YetMoreTech inserted to system to guard against you talking bollocks, Turtles. It was only ever a prototype, and never actually got rolled out site-wide
