what's this new inbox thing then?

Just noticed I have an inbox at the top of the page... clicked on it and I have messages!

How long's that been there then?

How do I use it? (well, replying to the messages that were there was quite easy, I just typed then hit "send" but how do you send a message to someone that hasn't already messaged you?)

If you want to send a message tosomneone before they send you one, just type their MN name into the box. Althpugh from what I know it has to be the name they are currently using, so any old name changes wouldn't work

and you're right, I am hardly ever here nowadays - although now the kids are all at school/college and dp has started university, until someone sees sense and gives me a job I may be here slightly more often than of late

so, what have I missed?

Or on the thread, near where it says 'report' along from the poster's name, it says 'message poster' - you can click on that.
It would be good if it had a little number in brackets next to where it says 'inbox' so you know how many messages there are, or if you need to check it.

No, don't have to sign up to CAT anymore...

Valpollicella, it can be an old name that they've nick changed from, and the recipient will still get it. They can then hit reply and reply from their old nickname, so if I message you and you nickchange to NewValpollicella, and I send a message to Valpollicella, it'll come up in your inbox. If you then hit reply, it'll come into my inbox from Valpollicella. Of course, if you send a brand new message to me as NewValpollicella, it'll come from NewValpollicella.

I think that's enough "Valpollicella"s for one message...
