seaturtle · 30/09/2010 19:09

There is a topic called "In the news" where this is the general idea.

IUsedToBeFab · 30/09/2010 19:11

usualsuspect · 30/09/2010 19:40

yes I wondered why

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 19:41

ah, I see

I think the researchers in question have a paid a fee to garner material from MN'ers

Just ignore 'em, I do

usualsuspect · 30/09/2010 19:55

well keep my trap shut in future then

JustineMumsnet · 30/09/2010 20:01

No, no fee (though I like the idea Grin). But if a news story has just broken we are often asked if MNetters have an opinion. If it's not hit the boards yet, we do like to ask, rather than just spout off...

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 20:42

oh, no fee then ?

my apologies, I thought that was the way it worked

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 20:43

erm, perhaps you should charge a fee, then offer a crimbo prize to the most prolific poster on MN

< is sure she would win Wink >

JustineMumsnet · 30/09/2010 20:46

Or we could spend it on a Power Plate for the office Smile.

AnyFucker · 30/09/2010 20:48

profiteering eh ?

< gets Daily Mail on speed-dial >

seaturtle · 30/09/2010 20:53

Sorry, OP. Thought you might be new! Smile

IUsedToBeFab · 30/09/2010 21:02
