How do you hide topics?

I have often read that you can hide threads/topics but I can't figure out how to do it

If you go to customise (in blue under MUMSNET TALK just up from here abit)

Then at the bottom of the page it says 'Ignore topics in Active Conversations' then click on the here and taadaa sort out which ones you want/don't
