Just wondered if you had ever considered giving a tally of how many people were logged onto MN at any one time?

I would love to know, at 03:00 how many other people were trawling the boards...

Ooh, I don't think we have 3am stats but I will try to find out.

Some websites give a number of users logged on at any one time and was thinking it might be interesting to have that too - or would that be really hard work?

Do you know the highest number of mn'ers ever on line at the same time?

I have absolutely no idea, tbh - but will try to find out...

Some Forums produce a "Who is On-line" page.
Other Forums show an icon alongside your user name which lights up if you are currently On-line.

ooh yes stick a lurkers number on there too.

Don't mind a generic 'numbers/members online' counter but would hate having any indication that specific individuals are online!

oh god yes. Numbers are fine but absolutely no no no to showing who is online.

Would perhaps be nice to have an option to be shown as online if you wished to be 'seen' - like on Facebook - where you can appear offline if you wish, but still trawl!
